Return on Investment Award
In 2012, the center was awarded the Community Foundation’s prestigious Return on Community Investment (ROCI) award. For every $1 invested in the center, an average of $25 is returned to the community in services provided.
It is the largest ROCI the Community Foundation has ever awarded. We make every dollar donated count.
GuideStar Exchange Gold Participant
Martin Luther King Health Center has received the GuideStar Exchange Gold level logo. It is awarded by GuideStar USA, Inc. and demonstrates an organization’s deep commitment to nonprofit transparency and accountability.
Sister Margaret McCaffrey Award
On November 9, 2009, the Martin Luther King Health Center was awarded the Sister Margaret McCaffrey Award from Christian Service at their annual Poor Man’s Supper. The late Sister Margaret founded Christian Services and was a founding member of the MLK Health Center. This award is dedicated to those in honor of her many years of service and the impact that she made in the community.
