Sure, eating healthy is important. Nutritious foods are necessary to keep our body supported at the cellular level and boost our immune system. But for some, the pursuit of healthy eating in the midst of a pandemic can lead to overwhelm. Unfortunately, the benefits of eating healthy may be cancelled out if a large amount of stress went into finding, choosing, and cooking those foods. These are abnormal times so it’s okay if you’re eating patterns are also abnormal. Bottom line: work in healthy foods when you can and in ways that don’t cause undue stress. Be kind to yourself if your food choices aren’t perfect right now. We’re all doing to best we can under the circumstances.
